Graham visited New York City last weekend. He seemed to do really well. Although we have reason to believe he became overstimulated; we had three of the worst nights ever while there.
Being in NY with a baby was a new experience. I got checked out by more women in three days than I did in all of the years we lived there. And in every restaurant and almost every elevator, people talked to us. Really friendly people who complimented us and told stories about their own kids.
When we moved away almost four years ago, Erin and I both felt glad we hadn't tried to raise children in Manhattan. I still feel that way, but after this weekend, I think there might have been some benefits we hadn't anticipated. |
