This is one of the two sets of ground-floor stairs to the first landing. Because they aren't carpeted, we keep this gate up all the time. I left this opening so the cats can use these stairs, but I thought the boy wouldn't figure it out. Silly Daddy. Looks like the cats are going to have to go around like the rest of us.
