When I introduced the Random Entry, I thought I had run out of possible new features for the ol' G-blog. But Erin has agreed to write occasionally for the blog, when the mood strikes. As you may have discovered by now, I think of this as a photo blog, and my writing is usually pretty spare. I look forward to Erin's color-commentary. Here is the first installment:
The fun with Rabbit continued through bedtime. Our routine is to put Graham into his pajamas -- his outer layer of footed pajamas, since he insists on wearing cotton pajamas every moment he is at home this winter -- on our bed and snuggle there before I take Graham into his room for a lullaby. Recently David has been "boosting" Graham onto the bed. Think horsey with a flying child landing on the bed, with lots of giggling.
This night Graham said that Rabbit wanted a boost. David gamely gave Rabbit a boost onto the bed. Then Graham said that Rabbit would give him a boost. David said Rabbit couldn't do that because she is too little. From the hall, I said "and inanimate." From the bed, Graham said (dead pan and perfectly pronounced) "and inanimate."
His vocabulary is certainly growing. Tonight Graham also said "I can't believe it. I'm incredulous." David laughed and said "Gimme five." Apparently, he'd planted that seed earlier today. |
