Graham loves to snuggle. Here we are watching a PBS show with sea creatures.

A Recent Conversation about Babies, Daddies, and Dreams
(Caps means Graham gets very loud.)
E: Did Evie's mommy have the baby yet?
G: No, it is still growing in her tummy.
E: Do you know if it is going to be a brother or a sister?
G: It is going to be a sister.
E: Oh? (Remembering now that I had heard they were expecting a boy.)
G: I believe that brothers grow in daddies' tummies. The baby is growing in Evie's mommy's tummy [and therefore it must be a sister].
E: Wow! That would be neat if brothers grew in daddies' bodies, but that isn't how it works. All babies grow in mommies' bodies. You are a boy and you grew in my body.
G: Oh. [Pause.] Tonight, I am going to dream that brothers grew in daddies' bodies. That is what I am going to dream!
E: Cool.
G: [Pause.] Last night, I had a dream that there were scary animals in your bed, a gorilla and an alligator. They were VERY SCARY.
E: I remember that. What happened then?
G: Daddy came upstairs and gave me lots of hugs. Then I wasn't scared.
E: Daddy is great.
G: Daddy is a GREAT hugger. You are a GREAT hugger. I am a good hugger.
E: I think you're a great hugger.
G: No, I don't give great soft hugs. I give HARD, HARD, HARD hugs and they are BIG HUGS, they are HUGE HUGS. I give good HUGE HUGS.
