Leah completed her first session of swim lessons on Thursday,
and she received her first-ever trophy. She was very excited.
Leah: Mommy, we'll have to display it on our piano!
Laura: We don't have a piano, but I'm sure we can find someplace
great to display it.
Leah: No, we'll just have to pretend we have a piano.
Once we're home --
Leah (pretending it's on a piano): It was a dark and stormy night . . .
Laura (realizing that Leah is quoting from Olivia and the Missing Toy)
finally recognizes that Leah thinks her trophy is a candelabra. I mean really,
why would you have a brass container thing with absolutely no function?
Here's hoping she receives many more trophies/candelabras over the years.
