Poor Cinderella
Leah spilled her milk so I handed her a rag and told her to clean
it up. (I was proud of my "natural consequences" parenting.) She
gleefully accepted the rag, dramatically fell to her knees, and started
singing "Sing Sweet Nightingale," Cinderella's work song. She
accompanied it with several under-her-breath comments about poor
Cinderella and her evil stepmother. I guess that would be me.
She had way more fun than I intended. Who is teaching whom about
consequences?
