The Joy of the Unregulated
We headed up to Door County for the weekend and had a marvelous
time. The apple orchard we visited had this crazy straw maze. The
girls were both so excited about it.
But this pitch black, multi-level, totally flammable maze was a little too
much for them on their own. So brave Mommy headed in with Leah.
MANY minutes and several head bumps later we discovered the way out.
Then Zoe wanted in on the action and the 3 of us headed back into
the maze for another attempt. And another. And another. It was
awesome, but I'm shocked that such a thing is allowed these days.
I am quite certain no regulator or fire inspector has looked at this thing.
The camera flash gives a false impression. There is NO light
inside this mountain of straw and wood.
