Peter helped Leah carve her 1st pumpkin today.
She didn't hit the trick or treat circuit quite yet . . .
maybe next year.
We gave Leah her first sponge bath this morning.
She seemed to enjoy it.
Don't you just love her hair when it's wet?

Leah snuggling with Peter on her 1st morning at home.
Here she is meeting Grandpa K.
You can see that the child has quite a head of hair.
Grandma K. helped with the whole
labor and delivery process. Here
she is admiring our swollen-faced
little one.
This is within an hour of her birth.
We're just getting introduced.
Uncle David here.
I know the audience of this blog is almost as eager for news as I have been. Well here's the news you have been waiting for...
Leah Krewinghaus Johnson was born this morning at 7:14 (or so).
She weighed 8 lbs and 13 ounces and was 21 inches long.
Mother and daughter (!) are doing fine. Peter is too!
Watch this space for photos. I know I will be.
No, I haven't had the baby yet.
Yes, I'm huge, and this looks just like the other pictures.
But this one is special.
It shows my lovely stretch marks.
Several of you have asked to see pictures of the baby's room.
I can already hear it. "Mo-om.
That is the ugliest shirt -- it's so '04."
Yes, yes it is. But it covers my belly.
So here is a bare belly photo
with about a month to go. Lovely.
While it's strange to see this child's brain, you can tell he or she is a GENIUS!
