Leah danced in the lights.
She had tea with Alice.
And she filled in for the missing puppets at the puppet theater.
We went to the Children's Museum last week. Leah liked milking
the cow, but she wasn't about to put down her grocery basket to do it.
She was so excited about the chick display that she kissed it.
We had a coupon, so we went fall clothes shopping. Little did I know
that she would be unwilling to shed the cherry jacket and hat for the
next 24 hours. She strolled the mall in it saying, "Cute!" She then
insisted on wearing this entire ensemble for her evening walk with
Daddy. Nevermind that it was 95 degrees.
For a few months now Leah has identified every basketball goal she
passes while walking through the neighborhood. Here she's trying out her
slightly shorter (and more air conditioned) version.
Leah helped Peter run off some of his excess energy before boarding the plane.
Big tub, little girl.
Kicking back while watching a Sesame Street DVD. Ah . . . the
things one gets away with when cooped up in a hotel room, even
a really big hotel room.
Matchy-matchy Mommy seems to be raising a matchy-matchy
daughter. What can I say? She likes her fish accessories.
It was actually more of a dragging thing, and Alex looks a bit frightened.
Leah is into building block towers. I introduced the pig stool as a
way for her to place her final few blocks. Now she insists on
building the entire tower from the pig stool. It makes building the
base a bit more complicated.
You might also notice the Elmo Band-aid on Leah's head. She finally
pushed Fagin too far. The Band-aid wasn't necessary for the minor
scratch, but it helped stop the constant chanting of, "Hurt. Kitty. Booboo.
Hurt. Kitty. Booboo."
Leah loves her "kitty" shirts. She likes to arrange them just so.
Leah threw a party at the big table for Elmo, Henry, and Amy. She
made sure they all had fresh diapers and clean bibs before they sat
down. (I love that Amy's bib is three times her size.)
A happy guest.
Leah pointing out "Gam" in her family photo album.
Giving his picture a big, wet kiss.
Leah and Sophia met for brunch at Goode Co. Taqueria
Kerry, Mike, and Peter were there solely to provide coins.
Making a wish.
Leah spent most of her pool time arranging the two child-sized chairs.
But Chloe's sea lion was worth checking out.
Leah had more fun with her boat on the rug than she did in the pool this trip.
Full concentration is required.
Feeling the music -- literally.
