A return trip to the Alice in Wonderland exhibit at the Children's Museum
I was trying on an "ensemble" for an upcoming evening
when Leah discovered my shoes. She was thrilled to learn
that Mommy owns things other than flip-flops. (Mommy was
thrilled to have occasion to remember it.)
This is a post-nap picture. Leah likes to nap in her elephant
t-shirt these days (it's pink). She has on bloomers to a dress
that she wouldn't put back on, no hair bow, and a ribbon spool
as a bracelet. She started shuffling around in Daddy's shoes
to complete the look.
Meet Diego. He and Leah enjoyed the bubbles at his birthday
party this past weekend. They also found several opportunities to
hug each other. (Their first kiss was a few months ago at playgroup.)
Giving Olivia a lift.
Olivia taking Henry and Elmo (in his swimsuit) for a drive.
Leah keeps putting things on the roof of her car for transport.
For the record, I don't carry our groceries on the roof of the Accord.
Leah and Caroline watch Kitty demonstrate proper sliding technique.
Still holding hands . . .
. . . but here it's more of a strangle hold.
Last weekend we went to the pool with Caroline and her family.
They seemed to really enjoy each other's company.
Leah loves her pink backpack. She often uses it as
a carrier for Elmo.
Daddy had to go out of town a couple of weekends ago. Leah
missed him very much. When I was folding a load of clean
laundry, Leah recognized it as "Daddy's!". She proceeded to
dress herself in a few key items (boxers and socks).
A few other random stories . . .
She loves pink all of a sudden. Every morning is a fight because she only
wants to wear pink garments, and she doesn't have many all-pink outfits.
Luckily, her dress-up watch and belt are pink (see laundry pic) because she
insists on wearing them everywhere too.
Yesterday I walked into the family room, and she was singing, "I'm singing. I'm singing. I'm singing."
She now insists that her friends wear specific Sesame Street character diapers.
Elmo, not surprisingly, must wear Elmo diapers. Henry must wear Bert diapers
(maybe because he's yellow too?) She likes things done her way.
This is Leah's tent.
This is Leah in her tent with her life jacket, a lantern, her blocks,
Elmo, Henry, Amy, and Olivia. It was quite the camp out.
Leah loves to wear Mommy's flip-flops and shuffle
around the house exclaiming, "flip-flop!"
Leah prepares for her pretend nap on the bed she and Daddy made
out of soft blocks.
Apparently, the pig stool wasn't quite enough.
But The Complete Bartender did the trick.
Leah ate at Steak n Shake for the first time this past week.
She loved it immediately -- french fries, a cool hat. What's not to love?
