While in Maryland, we visited a Chick-fil-a for lunch. This probably
doesn't seem like a big deal, but it was. Leah LOVES Chick-fil-a and
there are NONE in Wisconsin. On our first trip to the mall here Leah
asked if we could go to the Chick-fil-a for lunch. I explained that the
mall didn't have one. She then asked me in the saddest little voice,
"Are there any Chick-fil-a in Wisconsin?" I answered with a truthful,
"No." Then she burst into tears.
So . . . when we were driving back from the National Aquarium with
Grandma and Graham and we saw a sign for a Chick-fil-a. We HAD
to stop. It was well worth it. The cousins had a great time (even if it
was miles from the interstate exit where we saw the sign.)
Leah and Chloe aren't allowed to run around the pool, so they spent
a good portion of their evening running to and from the pool gate.
Enjoying a game of tackle with Graham and Uncle David.
A sweeter moment.
A rain storm snuck up on us while were swimming in Maryland
last week. Leah and Graham took a few minutes to warm up . . .
. . . and then they felt more playful.
Leah announced at breakfast, "Look what I learned at school!"
Impressive, very impressive.
Peter making a valiant effort to get Leah to pose before leaving
the house for her first day at the new school.
For the most part she likes it, but she went from being the oldest
kid in a toddler class to the youngest kid in a class that goes up
to 5 year olds. It's got to be quite an adjustment.
