Leah helping get ready for the trick-or-treaters.
The family of four (!) preparing to head out.
The ladybug was out meeting neighbors and collecting treats.
Zoe went along for the whole thing, but she found it a bit exhausting.
Excited about blowing out the candles.
Celebrating with all of her grandparents and the new "swibiling."
Leah has been asking for a Dori cake (the girl fish in Finding Nemo)
for more than 6 months. Of course, no one makes a Dori cake, so I
had to wing it from a generic fish cake pan. Not bad for no sleep.
You'll have to be patient with the poster . . .
We've had a lot of VERY important life events in the past week, so I'll
be alternating back and forth a bit.
Zoe was not excited about the car trip.
Gnome-like.
A more flattering shot while recovering from the big days(s).
Leah holding Zoe for the first time.
Snuggling in utero Brownie for one of the last times while I was in labor.
Here are a couple of pictures to hold you until we get home from
the hospital.
Uncle David here,
I'm so pleased to announce that Zoe Krewinghaus Johnson was born this morning at 12:39 a.m.
She weighed 8 lbs and 15 oz and was 21 1/4 inches long.
Mother and daughter are both fine. As are Peter and Leah, of course.
And as I said when Leah was born, watch this space for photos. I certainly will be.
Pumpkin patches are different here than they were in Houston.
The pumpkins are next to cows and goats instead of parking lots.
Leah and Angel checked each other out.
Leah looking somwhat defiant while posing with the big pumpkins.
Sorry for the lack of posts. My hard drive died and there
was a bit of file recovery required to get back up and posting.
Thank you for your patience!
I thought it was time to cut Leah's hair, and she was more than happy
to cooperate. They gave her a butterfly clip, sprayed her hair with
glitter spray (my worst nightmare, her dream come true), AND gave
her a lollipop. Here she is on the drive home looking a bit like
Shirley Temple.
Our hospital does a teddy bear tour for soon-to-be older siblings.
We went with our friends due the week after we are. Leah and
Cole enjoyed their lesson in baby holding.
Leah (singing): The moon goes around the sun.
Laura: The moon goes around the earth.
Leah (looking impatiently at Mommy): The moon goes around the earth AND the sun.
Enjoying the Berenstain Bears classics with Grammie and Cinderella.
