An Unhappy Girl
Not happy.
Slightly happier when she found her mittened hand to munch on.

"Holding" Hands
It's more of a "grabbing and pulling" exercise, but Leah
is slowly learning to control her enthusiasm for Zoe.

Overheard 11/20/07
Leah: Look at the moon, Mommy.
Laura: That's the sun. It just isn't as bright as normal because
of the clouds.
Leah: No. It's definitely the moon. It doesn't have lines around it.

We Are Family
A couple of months ago Leah started this sweet thing where she
took Peter and my hands at the dinner table and declared,"We are
a family!"
Then someone (school?) introduced her to the Sister Sledge song
and now the ritual has become more elaborate. At her birthday
dinner (bacon and biscuits with honey) she had the 7 of us join
hands and sing it. It went something like this.
"We are family. I got all my sisters and me. We are family. I got
my Grammie, and my Grampa, and my Mommy, and my Grandpa,
and my Grandma, and my Daddy, and my sister Zo-e! We are family."

Offering Assistance
Leah enjoys stuffing a pacifier in her sister's mouth.
And roughly half of the time, Zoe is OK with that.
