Zoe finally got to join us at the table with a move into the high
chair -- no "food" anytime soon, but the view is much better.
(And so is the protection from Leah.)
Zoe was pleased with herself after a successful scoot.
She started with her head by the musical octopus.
Leah swam by herself yesterday at swim lessons.
We are very proud!
Obviously, this picture isn't of her big swimming
accomplishment. She requested that I take her picture
while I was taking a few of Zoe.
"The sun did not shine.
It was too wet to play.
So we sat in the house
All that cold, cold, wet day."
After reading The Cat in the Hat with Grammie a few times, Leah
decided she wanted to reenact the beginning of the story.
Doesn't that just look like the most uncomfortable sleeping
position ever? She sleeps that way all the time.
Zoe's not a fan of socks. She can even kick off the
un-kickoffable booties. (That's her pacifier strap looped
in front of her face.)
Leah gets to sled regularly at school, but this was her
first family sledding outing. It was only moderately
successful. Photo courtesy of Uncle David. (I stayed
home in the warm house.)
We're going to go back in time a little bit to post some
pictures that David shared with us.
Peter loves to play in the snow, so one night he went out
and built a snowman outside of the breakfast room window.
The next morning when the kids woke up they were pleased
to find this guy looking in.
Leah: When I grow up I'm going to have a husband. We're going
to have grown up toothbrushes like you and Daddy, but they'll have
Cinderella on them.
Zoe has had a hard couple of weeks. She got a cold, a nasty
cough, and then an ear infection that perforated her ear drum.
And yet our little trooper hardly ever cries. Her pediatrician
was poking around in her oozy ear, and she just smiled at him.
She is one peaceful kid. I feel VERY lucky.
Leah checking out Fagin's tail.
Leah pulling his tail. (She was trying to pet him. Really.)
It's really no wonder we haven't gotten pictures of the two
of them together since she was 9 months old.
Leah got this doll a few days after Zoe was born. She named
her Leah. She proceeded to tell us that her dad's name was Peter,
her sister's name was Zoe, and that her mom's name was Amy.
Crushing.
Zoe is always smiling. She doesn't even mind posing for pictures.
Leah modeling the same outfit three years ago.
Leah and Graham explain all of the excitement to Zoe.
Handing over some of Zoe's stocking booty.
Leah's new guitar strap makes it easier to rock.
Trying on her new hat.
Zoe liked to sleep under the tree.
Leah left milk and cookies for Santa and Mrs. Claus. Sadly, she had to leave
them in front of our "work in progress" fireplace. Uncle David and Grandma
made the plywood a bit more merry with a cozy contruction paper fire. Luckily,
Santa had special tools so he was able to get through the construction zone.
