The babysitter said they fought for 30 minutes about how to arrange
the pillows, but by the time we got back from dinner they looked like
this. Very peaceful.
A couple of weeks ago we headed to Texas. While visiting
Kevin, Rowena, Caroline, and Litty in Austin we hit the playground
at Central Market. The best grocery store in the world paired
with a cool playground made me tear up that I'd moved away
from Texas. (It doesn't happen often, but Central Market makes
me all misty-eyed.) Anyway, I was trying to get them to pose
after we announced it was time to go. Big mistake. They revolted
rather than cooperating.
She still really loves stethoscopes and phones are quickly
gaining popularity.
Zoe has never let me put food in her mouth. She wouldn't
eat baby food from a spoon, and she won't eat from my
fingers. You have to put the food in her fingers first. So
I didn't think she'd be very good with a spoon since she's
had no exposure. She did just fine.
This was a few weeks before she made it all the way
in by herself. She is one determined little person.
I'm getting a little lazy -- no panda and she's in the
same outfit as last month. Sorry. But she did climb
into her highchair and into this kitchen chair all by
herself to celebrate.
Zoe isn't much of a talker yet, but I think I owe her an
apology. Peter and my mom claim that she's been saying
kitty for several weeks, and I just didn't realize it. So I'm
officially declaring that her first word was kitty, and that
she said it on 2/11 (and probably even earlier). It sounds
more like Key-Key. She uses it to refer to elephants and
shadows, but mostly she uses it for her beloved Key-Key.
That's a lot of super-cute pictures if I may say so myself.
Zoe is an obsessive organizer. Canned good are among her favorites.
Leah spent the whole Saturday morning curled up in the sun "reading".
Zoe has found a new interest -- singing into Leah's microphone.
Her performances are fantastic and hysterical!
The tower that makes helping possible.
Zoe loves to sort citrus.
So busy they're blurry.
Drinking some juice.
Goldfish crackers make Zoe very happy. You can see the evidence
in her smile and on her chin.
Leah wants her clothes to coordinate with Zoe's, but neither
wants to cooperate for a picture. So here is what our cute
angels look like a good portion of the time.
Zoe was anxious to get out of the house once I got her hat on.
