I enjoyed delicious muffins with my girls to celebrate Mother's Day.
Apparently, the love for chocolate chip muffins extends across generations.
(The school sent me this picture, so it's a little out of order.)
Until today, Zoe still slept with 2 pacifiers. I've been asking
her if she was ready to get rid of them. She was adamant
that she was not. But last night I suggested that maybe her
cousin-to-be would need them. I asked her if she wanted to
wrap them up and give them as a gift to Uncle "Kay-bub" and
Aunt "Heder" for the baby's arrival. I was shocked that she
said yes. So this morning we put them all in a baggie and handed
them over. That was that. My generous little girl says that the
baby will need them when he's sad. (I feel like an idiot for not
trying this a year ago with someone else's baby-to-be.)
They are in a good place right now -- lots of playing together
and lots of expressions of love. It's a joy to watch.
I gave Zoe's teachers a camera for the morning to show me what sort
of work she does. So in one morning, she did Play-doh,
stamping,
sorting,
tonging (not a word, but you get the idea),
and lunching. Apparently, she also changed clothes and played outside.
Not bad for a morning's work.
Her bottom center teeth are both very loose, so we decided to
photograph the full-tooth smile while she still had it.
Which worked out perfectly because she did this self portrait
on a totally different day. You just have to love the comparison.
Blurry, but momentous because it was her last program at the
Montessori school.
Ice cream socialing after the show.
Zoe felt right at home, and it's a good thing becasue she will
be joining Leah's old Children's House in the fall.
These 4 will all be at different schools next year, and they're not
too happy about it.
They can watch my screensaver for hours. It's a random
slideshow of all the pictures we've taken since Leah was born.
