Practically every day is an early dismissal for Leah. So after
the field trip we headed to our local "Play Gallery" where Leah
performed a show. (It's probably also where Zoe caught the
stomach virus that knocked her out for a week.)
Who knew that a kindergarten field trip to the dentist could be fun?
I was shocked, but they had the kids make plaster versions of their
thumbs, they got to glue braces onto plaster teeth, they got their
pictures taken, etc. It was big hit.
An orthodontists dream!
I don't know when St. Patrick's day became a big deal.
But it is. School made a huge thing out of it. Leah wanted
decorations around the house and a celebratory meal
(before she realized it would be corned beef and cabbage.)
So, anyway, here are their matching outfits.
Leah left this thank you note by our bed, and it made me all teary.
"Dear Mommy
Thanks for taking good care of me.
I love you. You rock.
Love Leah"
With a cupcake for decoration.
Dangling tooth.
No more tooth. (She was home sick from school, so
between these two pictures I took a 15 minute video of
her pulling it out. It was bloody and no one else will
ever want to see it, but I think she'll enjoy it some day.)
Two sickies watching PBS on the multi-generational sick blanket.
We joined friends at a historic inn for a doll tea with snacks, crafts (see bonnets
on their heads), entertainment, and a doll parade (see below).
Waiting for her cast to be removed.
The empty cast! She plans to take it to show and tell.
It's Spirit Week at Leah's school. I forgot to photograph
Thousand Island day yesterday, but here we have Ranch dressing.
Last night Leah read the whole book of Green Eggs and Ham to us.
So we celebrated with a silly breakfast.
She was totally out when I tried to wake her up at 7 am, AND she was
across the bed. So I decided to wake her up with the camera flash.
