When Kate and I would say cheese, Abby would look at us
like we were crazy.
This is what happens when I am too slow with the camera. It was supposed
to be a cute shot of them together, but, this is cute, too.
Check her out (yes, those are Kate's tap shoes)! And yes, she did it
all herself.
This more pensive, contemplative mood lasted for all of 30 seconds and
then back to the swinging, climbing, sliding extravaganza!
So, yeah, she's 2, people!! 2 and Patrick showed her once how to climb.
Aggh - it is enough to give a mom gray hair!!
Abby asked to do Kate's yoga tape one afternoon. I think this
is where they roar like lions.
So, I loved Abby's toddler bed. Abby, not so much. So not so much
that she refused to sleep in it. Very tiring and trying for Abby
and her parents. So...
Abby and Kate got matching big kid beds and sleep has been restored to our
home.
Everyone loves that!
Christmas came early at our house in the form of a fabulous play fort
from Mudder and PopPop. The girls are beside themselves with glee!
In the second photo, Abby is not trying to climb the slide, she is paying
homage to it!
Laura and Eli came to play on Wednesday. He is adorable and so sweet!
He was very interested in Kate and the cats. Abby slept through the
entire visit.
At Kate's school, they do a great Montessori birthday activity called
"Celebration of Life". Mrs. Punch reads a story about her life thus
far, and then the great book, On the Day You Were Born. And then
all her classmates whisper a birthday wish to her... and then, CAKE!
Abby and I were so pleased to get to be a part of it.
Kate lost her first tooth!! All so exciting and emotional, especially when
Mom lost it down the drain. Thankfully Kate had the great idea to write
the tooth fairy a note and all was well. Now, she can't wait to lose
another!
On Sunday, Kate, Mudder and I went to the Nutcracker Ballet in Ft. Worth.
It was magical! We all dressed up and felt like the Sugar Plum Fairy.
Today, my sweet baby girl turned into a big kid 6 year old. We
could not be more proud of what a wonderful kid she is! This photo
was taken at her party where she and her friends made mosaic boxes.
We were very busy and have lots of fun pictures from the week, so stay tuned.
